The EMF RATEL system for continuous monitoring of high-frequency electric field levels is intended for daily monitoring of changes in field levels, as well as for assessing the exposure of the general population.
This system performs broadband level measurements, taking into account the contribution of all active electric field sources in the vicinity of stationary measuring stations, in zones of increased sensitivity in populated areas throughout Serbia.
Drive test for measuring electric field levels are implemented at a certain time on a pre-planned route, in populated areas in Serbia. Electric field level measurements are performed in the range from 100KHz to 8GHz, with a broadband sensor mounted on the roof of a moving vehicle.
Measurement results are displayed on a map showing streets in populated areas where the measurement campaign was carried out. The results are displayed in colors, so that one can visually assess whether the field values are low or high, and according to the limits of exposure to non-ionizing radiation.
